The Pearl is a concept of a boutique hotel that is inspired by the Baroque period. During this period of art, there were many masterpieces made, both on canvas and architectural. I wanted to create something to honor the art and artist during the era.

While doing research, I found many beautiful dark, rich colors such as deep emeralds, rich reds, and royal blues, were used a lot and I wanted to use colors similar to those. For the text, I wanted to use something that felt elegant, and to the time, but also keep it modern.

I wanted to keep the designs more simple as I see there being many decorations and things to look at. Inspired by the ornaments from frames and architecture from that time, I took some of the designs and tweaked them to fit with the more simple design I was going for.
